Dr. Magalit's Lecture on FMF's Annual President's Meeting

Dr. Magalit, former President of the Asian Theological Seminary in the Philippines, came to be with the FMF's Annual Gathering held at the worship center of the Christ the Living Word Alliance Church at Scarborough. Dr. Magalit talked around the theme,
" Study to show yourself approved unto God..."
His main focus is found in the question what is the work of the pastor? What is the main focus on the work of the pastor in the church? We can count a number of them found in our job's description. But according to him, preaching and teaching is our main task. For him quoting a Latin phrase, preaching the Word of God is the Word of God. The act of proclamation is synonym to God's act of revelation. He is not alone in saying that of course. Karl Barth and others seem to stress that too. Our faithfulness and our commitment to study and preparation brings about God's Word alive in the lives of his people.
The event of that evening was accompanied by praises and thanksgiving in music and fellowship. After the worship service, there was also fellowship and refreshments.
Several pastors from various denominations came and some members supported the gathering with their presence.
